Walking with God: Do you? What does the phrase mean? In Genesis 5:22+24 we read, "After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 yrs., and had sons and daughters...And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him." Remarkable! God took him! To walk with God is to walk or go in a close, intimate relationship with God! Enoch, as well as Noah and Abraham, walked closely and intimately with God. They were in sweet communion with God. Enoch was in such closeness with God, "God took him (to heaven)."
This writer asks of all of us, do we walk with God as the OT people did? God can make things so much better, if we will but let Him. God wants a sweet, personal and intimate relationship with every human being. So often we are working on relationships here on earth, and not on the one with God. Our heavenly Father wants closeness with His children! Are you one of His children? Do you have or want a personal relationship with God? Take time with God and His Holy Word each and every day. Spend time with God, it will truly count for eternity.
